Sri Lanka has received the first consignment of Nano Nitrogen liquid fertilizer after a fertilizer ban in May.
Sri Lanka President Gotabaya Rajapaksa had imposed a total ban on agro-chemicals to become the world’s first completely organic farming nation.
However Sri Lanka revised it’s ambitious plan and ordered Fertilizers from India.
The consignment contained 100,000 liters of fertilizers, reportedly it’s a part of 3.1 million liters of Nano Nitrogen liquid fertilizer ordered by Sri Lanka from India.
Meanwhile Shasheendra Rajapaksa said the fertilizers are to be distributed among farmers in Ampara, Trincomalee and Batticaloa through Govi Jana Seva Centres. (World Broadcasting)
